What is Mi Petit Pois? Mi Petit Pois is a Miami-based online boutique specializing in luxury, handmade children's clothing sourced directly from Spain. We carry a curated selection of artisan baby and toddler brands including Artesanía Carmina, Mi Lucero, Saltin y Banquin, and Paz Rodríguez — each chosen for their commitment to traditional craftsmanship, quality materials, and timeless design. We serve families across Miami-Dade County and ship throughout the continental United States.

Where is Mi Petit Pois based? We are a Miami, Florida-based boutique. While we operate exclusively online, we are proudly rooted in the Miami community and serve families across Coral Gables, Brickell, Doral, Hialeah, Kendall, Coconut Grove, and throughout South Florida.

What makes Mi Petit Pois different from other baby boutiques? Everything we carry is handmade in Spain by artisan brands with decades - and in some cases generations — of heritage in children's clothing. We don't carry mass-produced, fast-fashion baby clothing. Every piece is made by hand, from natural materials, with the kind of care and detail that you can see and feel the moment you open the package. This is clothing made to be treasured, not disposable.

Why do you specialize in Spanish baby clothing? Spain has one of the world's richest traditions in handcrafted children's clothing. Spanish baby fashion is known for its timeless silhouettes, fine natural fabrics, and extraordinary attention to detail - qualities that resonate deeply with Miami's Latin community and any parent who values beauty and craftsmanship over quantity. Our founder chose to focus exclusively on Spanish brands because nothing else compares.

Does Mi Petit Pois have a physical store in Miami? At this time, Mi Petit Pois is an online-only boutique. We ship to all addresses in the continental United States. Follow us on Instagram @mipetitpois for new arrivals, styling inspiration, and occasional pop-up announcements.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you offer free shipping? Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders of $100 or more shipped within the continental United States. Orders under $100 are charged a standard shipping rate calculated at checkout.

How long does shipping take? Standard shipping typically takes 5–8 business days from the date your order is placed. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for orders that need to arrive sooner. Please allow 1–2 business days for order processing before your item ships.

Do you ship outside the United States? At this time, we ship to addresses within the continental United States. We do not currently ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or international destinations. If you are located outside the US and would like to place an order, please contact us at mipetitpois@gmail.com and we will do our best to assist you.

How do I track my order? Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this number to track your package through the carrier's website. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 business days of your order, please check your spam folder first, then contact us.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it? We process orders quickly to ensure fast delivery. If you need to make a change or cancellation, please contact us at mipetitpois@gmail.com as soon as possible after placing your order. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but cannot guarantee modifications once an order has been processed.

My order arrived and something is missing or damaged. What do I do? We take great care in packing every order, but if something arrives damaged or incomplete, please email us at mipetitpois@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the item and your order number. We will resolve the issue promptly.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy? We want you to love every piece you receive. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we accept returns on unworn, unwashed items in original condition with tags attached within 14 days of delivery. Please email mipetitpois@gmail.com to initiate a return and receive return instructions. Sale items and final-sale items are not eligible for return.

How do I start a return or exchange? Email us at mipetitpois@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for your return or exchange. We will respond within 1–2 business days with instructions. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Can I exchange an item for a different size? Yes — if the item you need is available in another size, we are happy to process an exchange. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We recommend reaching out as soon as possible, as our handmade pieces sell quickly and size availability cannot be guaranteed.

Do you offer store credit? Yes. If you prefer, we can issue a store credit for the value of your return rather than a refund to your original payment method. Store credits do not expire.

Sizing & Fit

How do your baby clothing sizes run — do Spanish brands fit differently? Spanish baby clothing brands generally follow European sizing standards and tend to run slightly smaller than American baby clothing. We recommend sizing up if your child is between sizes or on the larger end of a size range. Each product page includes sizing information specific to that item — always check these details before ordering.

What sizes do you carry? Our clothing is available for babies and toddlers from Newborn (0 months) through age 4 years. We organize our collections into two primary ranges: Baby (0–24 months) and Little Ones (2–4 years), for both girls and boys.

What is the difference between "Baby Girl (0–24M)" and "Little Girl (2–4Y)"? Our Baby collections (0–24M) are designed specifically for infants and young babies, with snaps, soft fabrics, and silhouettes built for crawlers and new walkers. Our Little Ones collections (2–4Y) are designed for toddlers who are walking confidently and developing their own sense of style — slightly more structured cuts with a bit more room to move.

Do you have a sizing chart for clothing? European clothing sizes use a different system than US sizing. As a general guide:

  • Size 62 = 0–3 months
  • Size 68 = 3–6 months
  • Size 74 = 6–9 months
  • Size 80 = 9–12 months
  • Size 86 = 12–18 months
  • Size 92 = 18–24 months
  • Size 98 = 2–3 years
  • Size 104 = 3–4 years

These are based on the child's height in centimeters. If you are unsure of the right size, please contact us and we will help you choose.

Do you have a shoe size guide? Yes — we have a dedicated Baby Shoes Size Guide that covers the full EU-to-US conversion chart for babies and toddlers (EU 16 through EU 28), plus a step-by-step guide to measuring your child's foot at home. We recommend visiting that page before purchasing footwear.

What if I order the wrong size? Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we will do our best to exchange for the correct size, subject to availability. Because our collections are handmade in small quantities, we recommend using our size guides carefully before ordering.

What brands do you carry? Mi Petit Pois carries a curated selection of Spain's finest children's clothing brands:

  • Artesanía Carmina — Hand-knitted garments made by nuns in a traditional Spanish convent. Every piece is a true heirloom, finished by hand with extraordinary care and detail.
  • Mi Lucero — A family-run Spanish brand with nearly 50 years of heritage. Each garment is hand-knitted, then hand-washed, dried, steamed, and individually inspected before leaving the workshop.
  • Paz Rodríguez — A fashion-forward Spanish children's brand known for its elegant aesthetic and commitment to ethical, environmentally responsible production.
  • Saltin y Banquin — Spanish-made baby and toddler footwear crafted from soft, breathable materials specifically designed to support healthy foot development.

Are the clothes really handmade? Yes, genuinely. Every brand we carry produces their clothing by hand, using traditional Spanish techniques. Artesanía Carmina's knitwear is literally handknitted by nuns in a Spanish convent — a process that can take days per garment. Mi Lucero knits each piece by hand and individually inspects every measurement before it leaves the workshop. This is the opposite of mass production.

What materials are used in your clothing? Our Spanish brands work primarily with natural fibers — fine cotton, soft merino wool, and breathable knit blends. These materials are chosen for their softness against baby skin, their breathability (important in Miami's warm climate), and their ability to hold shape and color through repeated washing. You will not find synthetic fast-fashion fabrics in our collection.

Are your products safe for newborns? All products in our collection are sourced from reputable Spanish brands that meet European Union safety standards for children's clothing (EN 14682 and related standards), which are among the most rigorous in the world. Our clothing does not contain drawstrings at neck or hood areas, and all embellishments are securely attached and tested for young children.

Do you carry gender-neutral clothing? While most of our collections are organized into Girls and Boys categories reflecting the traditional Spanish styling of each brand, many pieces — particularly our knitwear sets, matching sets, and swimwear — work beautifully regardless of gender. If you'd like specific recommendations for gender-neutral gifting, please contact us and we'll guide you to the right pieces.

Is Mi Petit Pois a good option for baby shower gifts? Absolutely — and it's one of the reasons Miami parents love us. Can I send a gift directly to someone else? Yes. During checkout, simply enter the recipient's address as the shipping address. If you'd like to include a gift message, please email us at mipetitpois@gmail.com after placing your order with your order number and the message you'd like included. We will handwrite it and tuck it inside the package.

Do you offer gift wrapping? Please contact us at mipetitpois@gmail.com before or after placing your order to inquire about gift presentation options. We want every Mi Petit Pois package to feel special from the moment it's received.

I'm not sure what size to buy as a gift — what do you recommend? When gifting for a baby whose size you don't know, we always recommend sizing up. A piece in 6–9M or 9–12M is typically more useful than a newborn size, as babies grow quickly and parents often receive many newborn items at showers. If you know the baby's current age, we're happy to help you choose the right size — just email us.

Care & Washing

How do I wash handmade Spanish baby clothes? Handmade knitwear and fine cotton garments require a little extra care to preserve their beauty. We recommend:

  • Machine wash on a gentle/delicate cycle in cold water, or hand wash
  • Use a mild, baby-safe detergent — avoid bleach or fabric softeners with knits
  • Lay flat to dry — never tumble dry knitwear, as heat will cause shrinkage and distortion of the hand-knitted structure
  • Iron on low heat if needed, inside-out for printed fabrics

For Artesanía Carmina and Mi Lucero knitwear specifically, hand washing in cool water with a wool-safe detergent, then reshaping and laying flat to dry, will preserve the piece for years — and for future children.

Will the clothes shrink? Natural fibers like fine cotton and wool can shrink if washed in hot water or tumble dried. Always wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and lay flat to dry. Following these care instructions will preserve both the size and the quality of your garment through years of wear and washing.

Can I iron the clothing? Yes, with care. Most cotton garments can be lightly ironed on a low-heat setting, inside-out. Knitwear should never be ironed directly — if needed, use a pressing cloth or garment steamer on a very low setting. Embellishments, prints, and delicate trims should always be ironed inside-out or avoided.

Payments & Orders

What payment methods do you accept? We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout.

Is your website secure for payments? Yes. Our website is powered by Shopify, which uses industry-standard SSL encryption for all transactions. Your payment information is processed securely and is never stored on our site.

Do you offer any discounts or promotions? We occasionally offer promotions and seasonal discounts. The best way to stay informed is to follow us on Instagram @mipetitpois and to sign up for our email list. We do not offer price matching or retroactive discounts on previous orders.

Can I use a discount code at checkout? Yes. If you have a valid discount code, enter it in the discount field at checkout before completing your purchase. Discount codes cannot be applied after an order has been placed.

Do you offer a loyalty or rewards program? We are working on building a loyalty program for our returning customers. In the meantime, the best way to be rewarded is to follow us on social media and watch for exclusive offers announced there first.
